managing director

Studied fine art in London and graduated from Northeastern University and Boston Architectural Centre in Boston. He later got his contractor’s license (A & B) and became a builder in Los Angeles, California.  In 1989 Mr. Li  started his very own business – a luxury housing design and construction company. 

In year 1994, he became the first runner up in the design competition for the Shanghai Grand Theatre.  He moved to Shanghai in year 1997 and started Diva International and later Edifice with the mission to be the first choice in design and construction in  high-end luxury market.

Edifice (Shanghai) now employs around 50 employees with business spread throughout a few main, second tier cities in China and Southeast Asia. 

His entrepreneurial passion and enthusiasm have left a lasting impression on the company and all its relationships. 

With 30 years firsthand in luxury construction, Mr Li has strong market sense, attentive to detailed and he understands clients’ needs fully. His persistence in maintaining a small and nimble team has given edifice lots of advantages, namely, quick response to the evolving market demand, close and regular communication and personal touch. Presently, Mr Li continues to lead the strategic direction of edifice and drive the company to meet its mission.


mr steven chiam


project director

Bearing near 25 years of project management experience in various projects (eg. club house; government buildings; hotels; institutions; offices; retail projects). Though a Singaporean, been residing and work in Shanghai since 2010. During this period, handled various retail brands that covers general contracting and furniture segment. Also had the opportunity to serve Balenciaga as external project consultant for almost 14 months (since Nov 2019), managed to complete their office reno (almost 800m2, in 02 months period) before leaving.

Tuned to be committed & focus when faced with tight timeframes or constraints. Initiated to think; explore ways to find answers/ solutions when encounter unknown subjects.

Graduated in University of Surrey, UK with Master in Administrative Management. Switch to project management since 2004, overseen showrooms; exhibition and retail projects.

Able to speak fluently in French; English and Japanese well. Understands requirement needs on construction drawings, familiar with materials; construction schedule and on-site quality checks.

ms louisa teh


office manager

Louisa from Singapore has been working in human resource and admin for more than 16 years.

Graduated with Bachelor Degree in Business Management from RMIT University. She came to Shanghai in year 2013 and joined edifice since then.

She is currently the head of human resource, admin and finance. Besides, she is also in charge of contract management.

Eking has broad experience in various boutique projects throughout his one decade’s career journey, from Shanghai to other cities in China. These prestigious brands include Dior, Loewe, Moncler, Bally, Gucci, and Celine, to quote a few.

He is equipped with strong knowledge in handling boutique projects in any scale. He is well-verse in communicating among all parties such as designers, clients and construction teams, which is one of the crucial elements during the project period.

His strong background in the above makes him one of the preferred team leader in our projects.
